About the American Rhododendron Society
The
American Rhododendron Society
is an international organization
whose mission is to promote education, preservation, and distribution of
plants belonging to the genus
Rhododendron. This genus not only includes the typical large leaf rhododendrons
(elepidotes) and smaller growing forms (lepidotes), but also all of the azaleas
including evergreen forms and deciduous.
Yearly dues are $40.00 which includes membership in the National Organization and
subscription to the colorful ARS Journal as well as a local chapter
of your choice. Associate membership in additional chapters is available
for $10.00 per year. This is the website for the Potomac Valley Chapter which primarily
serves people in the Washington D.C. area and its nearby suburbs.
