The following seeds were offered for sale at a cost of $0.50 per packet to our
members of the Potomac Valley Chapter. The contributor of the variety is listed in
parentheses at the end of the entry and the following abbreviations are also used:
The list of seeds that our chapter sells in our
Local Seed Exchange
are published each year in January Newsletter as part of the winter issue of our newsletter. Requests are received from members and alternates, and then
we distribute that seed among those who request the seed lot. Cost of seed is $0.60 per packet and that includes postage. We are definitely a non-profit organization!
- cw - Collected in the wild, typically pure species or possibly a hybrid swarm
from plants in nature.
- hp - Hand pollenated, a controlled cross where both parents are known. The first name
is the seed pod parent and the second name is the pollen source.
- op - Open pollenated, an uncontrolled cross where the the pod parent is
known but the pollen source could be that same plant or some other variety in the garden.
